Welcome, over the next few minutes I will be sharing with you the top 5 mistakes that MLM / Network Marketers make - consequently resulting in the shocking statistic that in the industry, 95% of Network Marketers Fail.
When people first hear this it can come as quite a shock. Why is this the case? First of all let me put your mind at ease
?It is NOT that network marketing does not work - there are literally tens of thousands of successful network marketers out there working from home earning excellent incomes.
?It is NOT that you need to be in at the beginning to make any money - this does not guarantee success, in fact sometimes it can be much harder being in from the beginning.
?It is NOT even down to the company products and services - it's down to you.
So why is it?
I have pulled together the top 5 mistakes, in my experience, which network marketers make. I hope you enjoy reading this and really think about it - after all it is true what they say "Knowledge is power" if you know what to look out for and avoid doing it, it will make your road to success much easier.
So in reverse chronological order:-
5. The wrong mindset / attitude - This can sometimes be a hard pill to swallow but a huge factor in any home based business is your attitude, it's all about what drives you, how badly you want it and what you are willing to do to achieve it. It can sometimes be hard for people who have worked in the "employee" position their whole lives to switch to the "CEO mentality" but it is a must if you want real success. You must be confident and positive and your team / customers will see this and feed off it. You must be 100% committed to achieving your goals no matter what it takes and you must work hard, you need to be self motivated and most importantly NEVER give up. I don't know about you "but I would rather work hard, push my boundaries, learn new things, be the commander of my own life, have a great time doing it along the way and in a few years have complete financial freedom and more importantly complete time freedom, freedom to work when I want, spend time with my friends and family, vacation half the year" than "slog it out working my whole life for someone else, never earning my worth, rationing my personal time off to make someone else rich and retire on 25% of my income at 65 - 70 years old".
4. Expecting to get rich quick - Many distributors join an MLM company falsely thinking that they will be stinking rich in 6 months and it's all going to be really easy, just talk to a few people and hey presto I will be retired by Christmas, but I'm afraid this is not the case. Don't get me wrong with the correct mentor and the correct attitude you can be in profit within a few weeks and making good money within a few months, but you will need to give dedicated focus to your business I would say for at least 18 months to really start to reap the rewards. Do you think that Rome was built in a day? Do you think that Bill gates got up one day and thought hey I will put in an hour a week for 6 months and hey presto Microsoft was born and making mega bucks? NO, it doesn't happen. MLM is an outstanding opportunity for anyone with the right attitude to work for themselves and build a very lucrative income whilst harnessing the power of leverage like nothing else out there but you must give it 110% dedication and be willing to go past the point that many will drop out and on to success. There are few other opportunities where you can set up your own business with full tried and tested products and a proven business model for a few hundred pounds. No other opportunity is so widely available to the masses. There are only two sure fire ways to fail in MLM either do nothing or quit.
3. Avoiding Personal development - This is a big one guys and one that I really want you to have a good think about. Would you decide one day to become a brain surgeon and simply turn up at surgery one day with a scalpel and scrubs? No matter what you do you had to start with developing your skills & knowledge and MLM is no different. There is a steep learning curve and many people do not automatically have the skills required. You must learn everything you can about the industry, read books, listen to tapes, do courses, research and learn from your mentor, which takes me to the next point......
2. Lack of Leadership - Step one - Join a leader. A poor choice in leader can leave you feeling alone in the cold! - When starting in any MLM or Internet marketing opportunity you will be miles ahead of the race by joining a true leader, someone who will guide and train you how to be successful, someone who you can learn from and avoid the mistakes they have inevitably made.
Step two - It is absolutely fundamental that if you want to build a successful team you must become a leader yourself. This builds on point 3 - a leader must bring value to the table. In MLM people buy people, the more value that you hold, the more desirable it will be for people to partner with YOU. In most MLM companies you will be trained by the company on the products and services and with some how to deliver your pitch, which is great and I encourage you to do this. However, few, if any, will teach you the importance of branding yourself!! With several thousand distributors all out there butting heads with the competition, all delivering the same speech, all with the same hosted website and the same service why should anyone join you? - You must stand out from the crowd, you must brand yourself a leader an expert in the field and you must bring value to them personally. This with some clever marketing and people will be fighting to partner with you in your business.
Step 3 - Create leaders in your business - work closely with your team, a true leader will share their knowledge and help others achieve their goals. After all this is leverage the more successful your team the more money you will make. If you only find a handful of leaders your business will be 10 times more successful than if you had 1000 followers - can you be that leader?
1 The list - OK, so you now understand 4 out of 5 of the top mistakes that network marketers make, you understand what it takes mentally, you know it will take hard work and dedication but the rewards will be immense, you have and continue to increase your knowledge of the industry and all that goes along with it and in turn hold great value in your market. You have a great leader and you can use the value you have acquired to become a leader yourself, stand out from the crowd, create attraction and in turn teach your team to become leaders. So what else do I want to share with you....? The network marketers list! This is key to anyone in network marketing. You must build your list. This is even more important for those of you who want to take MLM into the 21st century and harness the power and leverage of internet marketing to build your business. You never know what is around the corner, for some reason your primary MLM business could go out of business and what would you do then? You would be back at square one and nobody wants that. Those leaders with a clue have built a list and build a relationship with their list so if the worst was to happen, with the click of their fingers they can easily transfer their loyal followers (list), into their new MLM business and generate huge income overnight. This is the only way to make overnight success in any business but make no mistake they will have to spend a lot of time and effort and work hard building their list, developing themselves and building the relationship. There is a very specific way in which to build your online list....
To your success
